I remember that question in more than 40 years ago. It’s reply as well…

「Well,…… Ahmad Jamal, maybe」

Oh my stupid !! It was just a vanity when I knew about jazz and got information from jazz magazine, SWING JOURNAL. In fact, there was a copy about Ahmad Jamal, “WHO HAD AN EFFECT ON MILES DAVIS”.

Then, there was a story about Hiromi Uehara. When she moved to USA, Ahmad Jamal became her mentor who provided her a chance to become professional by some introduction.

Later in 2014, Ahmad Jamal performed in Tokyo Jazz on Sep.07,2014, where Hiromi Uehara handed over the bouquet!!

Video was on Aug.5th, 2014, which is one month before Tokyo Jazz performance with the same members.
