SESSION WITH TAKEHIRO HONDA (IN HEAVEN)

Takehiro Honda (Aug.21-1945- Jan.12-2006) is a happy man who had consistently his tribute sessions coordinated by his son, Tamaya Honda.

Takehiro Honda Tribute Band;

Tamaya Honda (ds), Kosuke Mine (ts), Miyuki Moriya (as), Fumio Itabashi (p), Shinji Hashimoto (g), Yasushi Yoneki (b).

However, very sad to learn that Shinji Hashimoto passed away on Jul.17,2020.

Therefore, today on Aug.21, Satoshi Izumi (g) joined in the gig at Shinjuku Pit Inn.

Of course Aug.21 is the day of Takehiro Honda’s passing away.

Therefore, today is tribute both for Takehiro Honda and Shinji Hashimoto.

Kosuke Mine is sworn friend of Takehiro Honda who had long, and long relationship including one of fusion top band, NATIVE SON.

Today, they performed two tunes from NATIVE SON.

We felt like listening session with Takehiro Honda (in fact they displayed photo of Takehiro at the backside of the stage).

In addition, frankly speaking, NATIVE SON’s tunes are good for summer jazz festival, outside under the son. It is their music !!
