It is so interesting to experience the valuable event in a year, including foreign manner and the style. In Asian countries, especially, the most significant event is the NEW YEAR, both for Chinese (Lunar) New Year and Solar New Year.
Furthermore, there are several varieties of the celebration in each region in China, South East Asia and other countries. Hereby it is to introduce the celebration in Malaysia/ Singapore Chinese society.
It is called “YEE SUNG (魚生)”, which means a raw fish.
Initially we see the plate, neatly arranged with some raw fish (salmon is usually the main) and other ingredients.
The declaration of the start of the party/ event with usually, “CHEERS!!”.
Then, the event starts, bringing YEE SUNG to the higher position and DROP it !
This is the favorable figure after the ceremony.
And then, enjoy the dinner as per an individual arrangement.
