WANT TO SEE FURTHER TREND OF COFFEE CULTURE IN MALAYSIA AND SINGAPORE

I think Japan is one of the strongest coffee loving countries.

And, for just a general citizen’s impression who loves Malaysia and Singapore, it is “KOPI”.

Speaking most honestly, I was not familiar with its “sweetness” at the first time to taste KOPI. But later, gradually, it became familiar, because in Japan as well, we got places to try KOPI.

They serve authentic KAYA TOAST with KOPI.

One is YAKUN KAYA TOAST in Japan

One is MALAY KAMPUNG KOPITIAM.

However, more frankly speaking, I got strong interest as well, “How is the specialty coffee situation in Malaysia and Singapore ?”.

We got a wonderful example in Japan !!

It is DRELLA ART CAFE

There is an outstanding coffee business operation in JOHOR BAHRU named “MY LIBERICA COFFEE”. Liberica coffee is usually for sweet KOPI use, but MY LIBERICA made it grown up for speciality coffee.

And, Mr.Leon Shen Lim, CMO of DRELLA and Mr. Jason Liew of MY LIBERICA made a collaboration in Daikanyama, Japan to open an unique art cafe serving Liberica coffee !

Unfortunately, at this moment, Liberica at Drella is not available because of out of stock. We are waiting for stock in !!

YES. At least we got three examples in Japan about the coffee culture connection between Malaysia/Singapore and Japan. I would like to survey its further trend how to progress!!

Also I got a chance to visit Malaysia and Singapore at the end of Sept.and early Oct.2024. I want to visit several KOPI shops like Ya Kun Kaya Toast, Toast Box, Killiney Kopitiam, Home Ground Coffee, My Liberica Coffee, Old Town White Coffee, Kluang Rail Coffee, Kluang Coffee Powder Factory and so on and on !! I hope somebody to join me if there is a suitable timing and Chance. Thank you very much !!!
