I do not know how many Will Lee fans in Japan remember PIONEER TVCF, “I BELIEVE IN LOVE” (1980)
Sorry I myself are fuzzy if remember it, because my direct encounter to Will Lee for the first time was Sadao Watanabe, Rendezvous, 1984, much later than 1980.
Then, when Will Lee visited Japan for the first time ?
It was in 1981 that “24 Street Band” visited Japan and performed “I Believed in Love”.
Therefore, we are forced to consider of the sharp eyes of PIONEER to assign him at that time and maybe also strength of Japan’s electronics industries…(long time ago….)
In any way, after that Will Lee visited Japan so often. In fact there are so many musicians who love Japan, probably due to Japanese fan’s warm welcome. It should be strength of Japan needs to be maintained for long!) However, Will Lee should be on the top of it.
