Bingo Miki & Inner Galaxy Orchestra Montreux Cyclone

Oh, what a gold 70s !!

Especially I got a special attention in Bingo Miki.

There are trio works at TBM (Three Blind Mice, remarkable Jazz label in Japan).

Scandinavian Suite (1977)

Back to the Sea (1978)

then;

Montreux Cyclon (1979)

It is a special event at Montreux, called “JAPAN TODAY”. Some Japanese musicians performed there, and at the last stage, Inner Galaxy Orchestra, with 26 members! and special guests, Richard Davis (b), Jon Faddis (tp), Bob Brookmeyer(tb), Joe Beck (g)!!

All tunes are great! Especially please listen to Hidehiko Matsumoto (ts, fl). One of his best play !!

Just for reference, I have once been to Geneve, Lake Leman in 1997. But not for jazz festival…… pity !!
