THREE BLIND MICE is the Japanese jazz label which was founded in 1970. At that time in Japan, JAZZ IS FROM USA. Several people who have BELIEF tried hard to develop jazz of Japan. Also, many of Japanese musicians were trying hard to develop their own style, and performing it at jazz club. However, as for record, spotlight is MAJOR LABEL.
Worldwide jazz fans well know MINOR LABEL contribution to develop jazz, because minor label has more BELIEF without calculating sales and cost…..(BLUE NOTE, PRESTIGE, RIVERSIDE……)
THREE BLIND MICE is the first minor label in Japan to have the same contribution in jazz world. Their policy is “TO WORK WITH MUSICIANS WHO HAVE MUCH CAPABILITY BUT NO CHANCE WITH MAJOR LABEL”.
Founded by Takeshi Fujii and 2 his friends, Kazumitsu Saga and Yoshiya Uotsu (3 blind mice) in 1970.
