George Wein coordinated NEWPORT JAZZ FESTIVAL IN MADARAO from 1982-2003 (a break in 1995,96 and 97). Madarao is famous ski resort area. So many jazz festivals were coordinated in ski resort in summer at that time (very nice time !!).
There were so many memorial performances. STUFF once joined in 1983. (But unfortunately Steve Gadd, Richard Tee and Chris Parker could not be joined).
