STARTING OVER AT “ON A SLOW BOAT TO….”

In Japan, at Jazz cafe, ON A SLOW BOAT TO…. (03-5244-5655), sometimes rock music is on the record player. Today, John Lennon, DOUBLE FANTASY.

It was on Dec.8,1980, one of the most shocking, terrible news was spread throughout the world. I was an university student, and was crying each other together with friends.

Also, clearly remember that just previous Nov.1980, it was the first time in 5 years after the album, “ROCK’N’ ROLL” was released. We thought about the meaning of “STARTING OVER” each other. Therefore, the shock was much more….. as same as other all John Lennon fans.

To be honest, some time has passed to listen to DOUBLE FANTASY. But I realized strongly from time to time we need to listen to John Lennon, who was consistently appealing PEACE, especially in such terrible world.

Thank you for “ON A SLOW BOAT TO…”, who brought me back to my youth when I was appealing the peace as just for students status, anyway.
