ATTACK TO THE WORLD BY JAPANESE MUSICIANS IN THE 70s -YOSUKE YAMASHITA TRIO-

JAZZその他音楽

Yosuke Yamashita had a debut to Europe in Jun. 1974 at Moers Festival in Germany.

After its success, they continuously had a tour to Europe and made several recordings.

One of the top is MONTREUX AFTERGLOW in 1976.

Then, the next target was USA market, and made a debut in New Port Jazz Festival, in 1979.

Yosuke Yamashita Trio – Live at the Newport Jazz Fest '79' – Rabbit Dance

Through two debut (to Europe and USA), Yosuke Yamashita got a worldwide fame and remarkable success. It was really 70s, which had a tremendous energy included widely in the society. And Yosuke Yamashita expressed most strongly.

However, more we say, MONTREUX AFTER GLOW is more keen than HOT MENU, completely as shown on album cover !! Probably most audiences at Montreux (and Moers and more..) felt like SAMURAI………..

Nowadays the society had a deep change. It is quite hard to face such an “attack”. Just we can enjoy listening them to remind of such days….
