Duo performance of Tetsuji YOSHIDA (tp) and Mikiko NAGATAKE (p) made the first CD released on Sep.19, 2021., LIVE AT KNUTTEL HOUSE.
Then, they are performing monthly live event at the same KNUTTEL HOUSE, in Iriya, Tokyo (near Asakusa).
Tetsuji YOSHIDA (1957- ) is, one of the so-called, highly distinctive player.
He said, “I did not follow anybody, nobody follow me”. Also, his base comes from very traditional folk song adding essence of John Coltrane!!. Easy to understand. It is not just a traditional Japan oriented. But in fact, well enough heartwarming.
Mikoko NAGATAKE is probably,currently, the most busy player at Jazz club in Japan.

Another trumpet player referred about the same duo with Mikiko NAGATAKE that, “When I was playing with her piano, she brought me to another world, when noticed !!”
Today, our audiences, fully seated, felt so. And probably each player the same !!
On the next monthly event, they should bring us to a little bit different another world !!
