WHAT IS THE MAJOR USE OF THE “RIVER” ??
- Transportation
- Daily life use like exchange and or meal
- Sacred place for the religion
No.1 is most popular throughout the world.
No.2, there are so many famous and unique places.
No.3, probably “GANGES ABULUTION. (I should visit there later.)
In Thailand, I think, No.1 and No.2 are mixed extremely in Thai style, which made it quite unique.
For No.1, it is Chao Phraya River. It is the heart of Bangkok people, meandering in Bangkok metropolitan.
The crowd of the cars in Bangkok city is so crazy. Therefore, boat is still so convenient for transportation.
For No.2, there are several floating markets in Bangkok. Some one is very large and indispensable for sightseeing people, whereas someone is small and more local.
I checked several markets on web site, and got special interest in Amphawa Floating Market, which is located around 50km south-west from Bangkok.
To get to Amphawa, we need to take a mini bus from bus terminal. It takes around 2 hours (depends on traffic condition).
Boat cruise is recommended as a night time cruise with fireflies view. Therefore I booked a hotel for one night.
I saw a lot of Thai hospitalities during this trip. This is Thai Angel !!
Amphawa is the place, as expected, rather for local people. For me, more Angels were there !!
