STUDY TRANDITION OF DUMPLINGS IN ASIAN COUNTRIES

Hello friends! Do you like dumplings ? If yes, what kind of dumpling would you prefer ?

-Boiled Dumpling (水餃子)

-Steamed Dumpling (蒸餃子)

-Fried Dumpling (焼き餃子)

As far as talking for Chinese Dumpling, general character can be referred as follows.

-Boiled: Originated in North-East China from Wheat cultivation area. In such a case, dumpling is to be MAIN DISH.

-Steamed: Transferred and developed in Southern China from Rice cultivation area. In such a case, dumpling is to be SIDE DISH.

-Fried: It is interesting that in Japan especially fried became major dumpling, as an individual transition. It is interesting to study further.

If we think about preference of dumpling in each country in Asia, there should be some visible characteristics, some reason of transition.

I have decided to study on such points visiting some of Asian countries, like Hong Kong, China(Shenzhen), Malaysia(Penang), Singapore and Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh) in November.

I am more than exciting to visit there and also report to you about the study.
