CRAZIEST AND HAPPIEST BASS MAN IN JAPAN – ELDEST BROTHER IN TBM CHILDREN-

JAZZその他音楽

Isao Suzuki (1933- ) is one of the legend in Japan Jazz, also one of the eldest brother in Three Blind Mice, with Masaru Imada (1932- ) and Masayuki Takayanagi (1932-1991). Also other brothers, Tsuyoshi Yamamoto (1948- ) and Bingo Miki (1946- ) and, and..

His first album, “BLOW UP”, was released in 1973 from TBM after he returned back from USA. He was called from Art Blakey when he listened to Isao Suzuki at “FIVE SPOT” jazz club in Japan, then Isao moved to USA as a member of JAZZ MESSENGERS.

Isao Suzuki Quartet Blow Up

This is a masterpiece in Japan-Jazz !!

Generally it is very swingy. In addition, very impressive the first tune, “ACURE MARINE”, which helps following nice tunes more impacted. This is TBM strategy !!

Later on he has been consistently on the way to develop his music.

See his appearance at eye-catched photo. Frankly speaking even in jazz field, japan is rather traditional or sober in fashion. But he is different and outstanding. This is his “CRAZIEST AND HAPPIEST!”

Of course his core is different from surface. Just listen to AVE MARIA….
