THREE VIEWS OF “AMELIA”

JAZZその他音楽

songs and lyrics by Joni Mitchell

“AMELIA” by Joni Mitchell is firstly released in “HEJIRA(1976)” with Larry Carlton (g) and Victor Feldman (vib).

JONI MITCHELL – AMELIA

“AMELIA MARY EARHART”, disappeared July 2, 1937, was an American aviation pioneer.

Because of her mysterious disappearance, still not a few fiction and SF stories have been made in regard to her.

There are several views of AMELIA.

  1. “JONI MITCHELL, HEJIRA” For me,this is most impacted. Amelia was swallowed by the sky… Amelia was just a false alarm…… Oh how deep and heavy……

As for HEJIRA, its origin meaning is “IMMIGRATION TO NEW PLACE for Islam people”.

On those days, Joni was concentrated to be shifted to jazz world together with Jaco

Pastrious and others.

AMELIA was an aviator to help immigration…..but just a false alarm…….

2. “NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM” 2009 American adventure fantasy film.

AMY ADAMS acted for AMELIA EARHART.

She was brave and helped the hero to rescue his friends and bring back to previous days.

Maybe it is a fantasy cinema….

3. “FREEDOM IN THE SKY” 2009 Japanese fiction story in which several historical FACTS

are combined. Some stories “after Amelia Earhart was disappeared” were created.

Interesting.
