It is said JIMBOCHO area is called as “QUARTIER LATIN IN JAPAN”. Maybe it is just the area with many university and schools, like Meiji University, Senshu University and more. Maybe it is not anything to do with students activism in the late 60s. …
It is also called “BOOK TOWN” both for new and old/second hand books.
The street is so cultural as well, as if suddenly Parisian Thoroughfare is going to be heard !!
Because of so many schools, and so many bookstores, it is natural that there are so many cafes/ coffee shops in this area. Maybe one of the most concentrated area in Tokyo. People would like to take rest at cafe bringing books got there.
- On A Slow Boat To…..
It opened newly on 31st March 2021 officially. Congratulations for new open !! (pre-open on 16th Mar.)
Naming is so unique. No designation after boat to.., which means depends on each customer. Somebody would like to listen hard jazz, soft jazz, and sometimes pop music. Very wide.
