This is a very private issue.
I used to stay in Shenzhen,China (広東省深圳）several years ago.
Those days were most concentrated, definitely for me and for my family as well.
-Could establish friendships in different culture
-Could enjoy daily living, food and entertainment
On the other hand;
-Most tough at business
-Heavy pressure every day
Then, one more important point;
-Scarce chance to enjoy jazz in the city
Therefore, usually I could secure time to listen to jazz only in the car in the morning on the way to office.
When I had time to be back to Japan on business trip, I got CDs of Hiromi Uehara to put into mobile phone. And every morning repeated, and repeated.
That was definitely the strongest motivation for me, indeed.
The music is most powerful and energetic. I had no other idea like her being concentrated in performing when the performance had well started.Going up,up and up! Could not go down. This is the figure entirely to enjoy playing the piano.
