KEITH JARRETT AND JAPAN

It is said that Keith Jarrett held 165 concerts !! in Japan as of in 2010.

However, the most impressive one should be “SUN BEAR CONCERT” (recorded in 1976, released in 1978).

It is with 10 LP !! (6CD) for the concert in Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo and Sapporo in Nov.1976.

The famous story is that Keith and producer Manfred Eicher liked talks about a bear in Sapporo called “SUN BEAR” and he named it as album title.

Even with 10LP, long version (total recording in 7 hours), however, sales is so good, not only for “enthusiasts”.

The world is still waiting for Keith to be recovered in any form.
