According to jazz critic, Shoichi Yui (油井正一), previously released “ART BLAKEY AND LES JAZZ MESSENGERS AU CLUB SAINT GERMAN (vol.1-3)” were crazily in reputation. Already hottest air was spread throughout almost all of jazz fans in Japan.

The welcome party was held in Akasaka, but Art Blakey himself was not in trust that they were truly welcome. Actually he was in late by a few hours, finally when he arrived at the party, he was so surprised by the strongest applause by many fans !!

It was the start for him to be a japanophilia!!
