There is a world famous jazz festival in Japan named “TOKYO JAZZ”.
It has a long history from 2003. One of the value is that every participant has individual character in wide range, from traditional to updated, from western to eastern, from legend to new stars.
Steve Gadd has been participating in this important festival from 2009. (2009, 2012,2013, 2015 and 2017)( maybe most frequent next to Herbie Hancock ( 7 times))

2003年からの長い歴史を刻んでいます。重要な点の一つは、伝統的なジャズから最先端の音楽、西洋から東洋、レジェンドから若手、といった幅広い層からのミュージシャンの出演、と言えるでしょう。
STEVE GADDはこの重要なフェスに、2009年から始まり、2012年、2013年、2015年、2017年と参加していただいています。

STEVE GADDはそのときに「一緒にやろうよ！」と誘ってくれたのですが、桑原にはそのときはSTEVE GADDは神様でしかなく、とても「はい！」と即答できなかった（いかにも日本的な・・（すみません））そうはいえ当然ながらすぐに決心をして誘い直し、2016年の#SOMEHOW SOMEDAY SOMEWHEREが生まれるのです。更に東京BLUE NOTEで再会したときのライブレコーディングがアイキャッチです。
In fact so many Japanese top musicians have been playing with Steve, like Sadao Watanabe, Terumasa Hino and Kazumi Watanabe. Then Ai Kuwabara has joined. Not only Steve’s godlike performance but also his heartful support has been developing Japan jazz scene greatly. Thank you, Steve !!
